The transverse occipital sulcus is a sulcus of the occipital lobe.

Anatomy

The Sulcus occipitalis transversus is the occipital extension of the occipital branch of the intraparietal sulcus and runs transversely through the upper part of the occipital lobe. The transverse occipital sulcus separates the superior occipital gyrus from the middle occipital gyrus[^1].
