The superior cerebellar peduncle (Brachium conjunctivum) is one of the three cerebellar peduncles.

Anatomy

The largest part of the efferent cerebellar pathways runs through the superior cerebellar peduncle[^1].

Efferent

The largest part of the efferent cerebellar pathways runs through the superior cerebellar peduncle. The efferent fibers of the superior cerebellar peduncle enter the tegmentum at the level of the inferior colliculi and cross in the decussation of superior cerebellar peduncles to the contralateral side, where they split into an ascending and descending bundle[^1].

Afferent

The only afferent bundle that runs through the superior cerebellar peduncle is the anterior spinocerebellar tract.
