The stellate ganglion is a ganglion of the autonomic nervous system. It is the fusion of two ganglia of the sympathetic trunk. Since the inferior cervical ganglion can fuse with the first or second thoracic ganglion, it is also referred to as the cervicothoracic ganglion.
