Handknob

The omega sign, also known as the hand knob, is a posteriorly directed protrusion of the precentral gyrus. This part of the precentral gyrus is primarily responsible for hand movement and is therefore also referred to as the hand knob. The omega sign is considered one of the important radiological features for identifying the precentral gyrus on imaging.
