Baastrup's disease refers to back pain caused by the contact of spinous processes (Baastrup phenomenon) with irritation of the periosteum and the surrounding soft tissues.
Symptoms
Patients often report pain in the midline with or without paravertebral pain, usually also interspinous with exacerbation during lordosis and increased pain when standing or walking without radiation to the lower limbs[^1].
Therapy
Typically, there is improvement after interspinous injection of local anesthetics and steroids.
