The median palatine suture is a sagittally oriented suture of the maxilla. The mucosa of the hard palate is attached to it.
Anatomy
The median palatine suture extends from the incisive fossa of the maxilla to the posterior nasal spine. In its posterior third, the median palatine suture is crossed by the Transverse palatine suture.
