The great anterior radiculomedullary artery, also known as the Adamkiewicz artery, is the principal blood vessel supplying the Spinal cord from approximately T8 to the Conus medullaris.
Anatomy
The Adamkiewicz artery is located on the left side in approximately 80% of patients [^1]. Under normal circumstances, the Adamkiewicz artery arises directly from the abdominal aorta.
