Denticulate ligament

Last edit by Alaric Steinmetz on

The denticulate ligament serves to suspend the spinal cord within the dural sac.

Anatomy

The denticulate ligament runs between the anterior and posterior spinal nerve roots. The Nervus accessorius runs dorsal to the ligamenta denticulata[^1]. During intradural surgery, transection of the denticulate ligament allows rotation of the spinal cord.
