Dabigatran (Pradaxa)

Synonyms
Pradaxa

Dabigatran belongs to the class of novel anticoagulants. Unlike most other novel anticoagulants, its effect can be rapidly reversed with an antibody, idarucizumab (known under the trade name Praxbind). After multiple doses, a terminal half-life of approximately 12–14 hours was observed with Pradaxa.

Reversal

The effect of dabigatran can be completely reversed within a few minutes with the help of idarucizumab[^1].
