The Ars Neurochirurgica website is, of course, open to everyone and is designed for medical professionals and interested laypeople who have an interest in neurosurgical topics. However, some information sections are more suitable for laypeople, while others are more suited to people who already have medical and clinical background knowledge.
Neurosurgical Diseases
The section on neurosurgical diseases is intended to provide general information on various neurosurgically relevant diseases, based on scientifically collected data. The primary target audience for whom the articles are written is laypeople. However, the figures and facts presented are certainly also valuable information for people working in the medical field. At present, the number of articles is by no means complete, but it is worth checking back every few weeks, as new articles on various neurosurgical diseases are continually being added.
Scores and Classifications
The section for scores and classifications is primarily intended for people working in a clinical setting. It offers the possibility of quickly and easily looking up and using various scores and classifications from everyday clinical practice. Wherever possible, the original publication as well as an original illustration of the classification have been included in order to eliminate any potential ambiguities in translation.
Lexicon
The neurosurgical lexicon is intended for short articles and definitions of various neurosurgical terms and topics. The entries are continuously being edited and are intended to serve as an easy-to-use reference work for laypeople and those interested in the field of neurosurgery. The publications listed here are naturally incomplete and represent the author's subjective, selective choice; they make no claim to completeness. The goal is to add a brief summary for each paper listed there and describe the studies.

The Resources section serves as a collection of links to useful and helpful documents or websites dealing with the subject of neurosurgery and represents a subjective selection by the author.
