Welcome to the Ars-Neurochirurgica Blog

Welcome to the new blog section of Ars Neurochirurgica

Nearly two years after the launch of the platform Ars-Neurochirurgica, we are expanding our offering: as of today, a dedicated blog complements our content.

Admittedly, in 2026, there are blogs as plentiful as grains of sand by the sea. Nevertheless, I personally follow a handful of extremely useful and inspiring formats from which I regularly draw valuable insights. This experience has encouraged me to establish a dedicated blog on this website as well.

Why yet another blog on the internet?

Even today, easily accessible, well-founded neurosurgical information is still hard to come by online. Much of the knowledge is hidden behind paywalls in specialist journals or in weighty textbooks. In this blog, I would like to publish articles that shed light on various topics in neurosurgery while being equally engaging for a broad audience—from medical professionals to interested laypeople.

What content can you expect?

Since the blog is currently run by a single person, the intervals between posts will tend to be somewhat longer than what readers are accustomed to from major news portals. My goal is to address everyday neurosurgical topics as well as report on interesting current publications from the specialist literature.

The primary focus of Ars-Neurochirurgica will continue to be the ongoing development of its broad range of neurosurgical content. The blog serves as a supplement, allowing topics to be explored from a more flexible perspective.
