Osteochondroma is a benign bone tumor.

Epidemiology

Osteochondroma is the most common benign bone tumor and accounts for 30 % of all benign bone tumors and 10-15 % of benign and malignant bone tumors combined. Such an incidental lesion is detected in almost 1 to 2 % of patients undergoing an X-ray examination[^1].
