Meige syndrome is a rare neurological disorder and belongs to the focal dystonias.
Clinical Presentation
Meige presents clinically as a combination of blepharospasm and oromandibular dystonia.
Treatment
The standard symptomatic therapy involves the local injection of botulinum toxin to eliminate blepharospasm. In selected cases and after exhausting pharmacological treatments, deep brain stimulation of the globus pallidus internus may be performed as therapy[^1][^2][^3].
