Decompression of the peroneal nerve

The peroneal nerve can be affected at several points along its course.

Decompression at the level of the fibular head

One of the most common sites of peripheral peroneal nerve lesions is at the level of the fibular head. The predominant symptoms are a motor deficit in the form of foot drop weakness as well as hypesthesia in the region of the anterior lower leg and dorsum of the foot[^1].
