Fonticulus anterior

Synonyme: vordere Fontanelle, große Fontanelle

Die vordere Fontanelle, Fonticulus anterior, ist die größte aller Fontanellen. Sie ist diamantförmig und hat bei Geburt einen anterior-posterior Durchmesser von ca. 4 cm und einen transversalen Durchmesser von ca. 2.5 cm. Im Normalfall verschließt sich die vordere Fontanelle mit ca. 2.5 Jahren1.
