The BNI (Barrow Neurological Institute) classification for grading facial sensory disturbances is a clinical classification into four different grades and was published in 2000[^1].
Classification
Grade | Description |
Grade I | No facial numbness. |
Grade II | Mild facial numbness, not bothersome to the patient. |
Grade III | Facial numbness, somewhat bothersome to the patient. |
Grade IV | Facial numbness, very disabling to the patient. |
